European project REINWASTE, press release

Zvornik, February 11, 2019 University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Technology Zvornik participates as a member of an international consortium on a project funded by EU-Interreg Mediterranean region and IPA, called REINWASTE “REmanufacture the food supply chain by testing INnovative solutions for zero inorganic WASTE” testing innovative solutions for zero emissions of inorganic waste). On Friday, 08.02.2019. in the Municipality of Srebrenica working team project from the Faculty of Technology Zvornik doc. Dr. Dragan Vujadinović, doc. Dr. Aleksandar Došić and Milan Vukić, MSc successfully completed the interested businessmen and employees of the Municipality of Srebrenica with the goals of the project, as well as the previous realization of the project. After the presentation was finished, a duel with the participants developed, resulting in a series of conclusions. The working part of the meeting was attended by the Mayor of the Municipality, Mladen Grujicic, and the Head of the Department for Economy and Development of the Municipality of Srebrenica, Cvijetin Maksimovic.

This project is focused on small and medium-sized enterprises dedicated to development and innovation in their field, which are proactive in clusters through the initiatives of reducing and preventing waste emissions from the agricultural-food chain, helping businessmen to cooperate and exchange experiences. Within this, REINWASTE was conceived as a test project by promoting the concept of “short-time” practical application of the solution, in order to timely respond to the demands of “time to market”. Optimizes the use of biological materials and redesigns products and processes to limit the production of inorganic waste. This project will test models of advanced solutions in three food clusters in the region of Southeastern Europe: planting in Anrdaluzia (Spain), dairy industry in Emilia-Romagna (Italy) and cluster of meat production and processing in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region (France). In addition, the agricultural and food sector of the Republic of Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) will benefit and benefit through a methodological approach and transfer of knowledge and technologies from key European sectors.
